parcel kendo: Shh, without moderators this forum will be an catastrophe. 
DC can't handle the whole forum alone so he need the help of some moderators to handle the forum against trolls, breakrules and such.

GeoB99: Only the english section, the german one is tame (and also kinda dead!) in comparison. useigor) answer to posts in the mod comment (see this). I don't think that's what the mod comment field should be used for. WinterPwnd: That depends a lot on the moderator. We're given possibility to choose for how long to ban a person. It's highly unlikely to see anyone get banned for more than one week. I've done it only a few times when I banned people claiming that they were DDoS'ing, 'hackers' and so on. This probably doesn't add up to even 10 times.
The duration depends on how major the rule violation is for the moderator. For example, I've seen few moderators ban people for a week when I ban people for 3 days, but in other cases, I may ban longer than others.
I don't know if other moderators apply this method but I usually increase the ban duration if the person keeps breaking rules, meaning that I ban for a short time (a few hours mostly) on the first time but longer on other times.
There was a warning system before and it was removed. Needless to say, I believe it wouldn't have been removed if it was useful. If we want to warn, we can leave a mod comment or temp ban for 5 minutes so I wouldn't say the current system is flawed.
ohaz, i usually use mod comment for reports and help. In threads for ideas it's useful to avoid replies that are not ideas. Currently in mod guide there is nothing about mod comments. useigor: Stop doing that or I'll be forced to ask Leiche or DC to give me my mod powers back and take them away from you It is NOT useful to help people that way. The only thing you do is to make it seem like you're someone special. You're only doing it for self-display: "Look I'm a mod, I don't need to answer like all those filthy casuals, I can answer in a mod comment". Seriously. Stop it. This is a FORUM. Help should be posted in normal posts, because that's what a forum is about.

Anyway, when i saw you was a moderator in the past, you did a good job as a moderator too, i appreciate you.
GeoB99: That's correct, any moderator can change ranks of the users now. That means we're allowed to do permanent bans with a very good reason. DC hat geschriebenediting of profiles of others has been enabled for mods recently

BountyHunter: I'm not the best moderator, I'm just the kind of moderator that moderates himself before deciding if someone broke a rule, therefore I don't ban as often as useigor, 0a or Rainoth. I might have broken rules before but I've just been banned once for:

If i'd replied then he'd possibly explain in new post, therefore it potentially increase amount of needless information. Well, in some cases i can remove comment when it helped because red color takes some attention. useigor: Unreal Software has a PM function, you know. Starkkz: In conclusion, moderators have more rights now like changing the rank of a user. 
What if a moderator abuse these rights (well, there are less chance that a moderator can do it) but just in your opinion what do you think?

DC made i don't really agree at all but it his decision. Yates, PM is private, other people might say same thing but in the thread when the user will be offline.
