So I've bought a pc from a store few days ago. Motherboard is H110M PRO-VD PLUS. I installed all drivers from added disk and everything worked fine except sound card, which driver was pretty big, around 600MB. The internal audio does not work as well as any headphones. Only way to get sound is to connect my usb connected speakers from older pc. When i click on volume button it says i did not connected any device. When I go to realtek hd manager it is blank. When i go to control panel and try to find problem all it shows is digital audio (not plugged in) but it says device is working properly. In dxdiag it says no sound card was found. I deleted drivers and downloaded newest ones. Everything's same. Ty in advance.
Pc specs:
Win10 64bit
Intel Core i5 7500 3.40GHz
Gtx 650 ti gainward 1 gb edition (added separately, leftover from old pc)
8gb RAM
Storage 250SSD and 1tb HDD
DirectX 12

Check if Windows Audio service is running by doing this:

• Press Win + R (Win is Windows key on your keyboard)
• Type services.msc and press enter
• Look for Windows Audio service
• When you find it, right click it and click restart on the menu.

It probably should work because it always worked for me.
Sorry if it won't work, though.
(It may be the fault of the sound card though or some messed up settings in it)

Sounds like the sound driver itself is either corrupt or not supported by Windows 10. Certain versions of sound drivers can also conflict with the generic "High Definition Audio Driver". Try to uninstall the Realtek HD driver and use only the generic driver. Do you hear any sounds or it's still same?

Make sure the Speakers/Headphones are set as default devices. If you missed this step, right click on the sound icon at the bottom > select Playback devices > select Speakers/Headphones and set them as default.

Did you at least try to use the generic High Definition Audio driver to see if the hardware outputs sounds and/or recognising your sound card? You can completely uninstall the audio driver and let Windows installing the correct driver software on its own after reboot.

If nothing seems to fix the problem you can, either way, install the Realtek HD driver for Windows 10 from the official Realtek website.

If give me a message at - E-Mail Adresse (nur mit Login sichtbar) - or on US in pm. I can help you through TeamViewer. I am sure your driver is supported on Windows 10. Just let me fix it. I mostly 98.88% fix any kind of software issue related to OS.

have you checked the manufacturer's site? That's the only place you should be installing drivers from.

If all else fails, you could at least confirm if it's a hardware issue or not by booting to a Linux Live USB. There's far less chance of generic driver issues in Linux than in Win 10. Common hardware tends to just work.

If it works there, then you know it's a driver issue.
- download latest driver from MSI but don't install it
- uninstall drivers for the device
- set windows to not auto-install/download drivers for new hardware, or just disconnect from the network
- reboot
- install driver
- reboot
- ...
- profit?

@user VaiN: Windows actually keeps the installation of old drivers so you don't have to download them from the Internet. Disconnecting may have no use.

Set default output device for an analog one if you are using speakers with jack 3,5 in windows audio output devices.

Also, launch Realtek Manager HD Audio, change some advanced options along with Connector Settings (I cannot show you because MSI uses different UI) disabling front panel end enabling auto pop-up when connected

@user Yates: Sure I will try this. All drivers and other garbage were added in MSI cd that came in a box of motherboard so I kind of thought that was reliable source.
@user Assassin moder: As I mentioned, I cannot click a sh**t in playback device section and Realtek HD audio manager is always blank whenever I open in.

By the way... Try this:
1. Win + R and type
devmgmt.msc

2. Under the
Sound, Video and Game Controllers
tab, check whether you have two distinct High Definition Audio Devices.
3. If so, right click on the device with Realtek High Definition Audio as name(or other names but High Definition Audio). Left click on Properties
4. Under the Drivers tab, click Update Drivers.
5. Choose "Browse this computer for drivers".
6. Choose "Let me choose from drivers available on this computer".
7. Choose "High Definition Audio"
8. Done.

@user BountyHunter: Try the method I provided in the above.
Update the Realtek High Definiteion Audio to use High Definition Audio Device's driver.

Just in case you cannot or do not know how to solve the problem, I might help you remotely via AnyDesk. Download it here

Though if I have tried all the solutions software-wise, that could possibly be a hardware problem.
