7 replies It seems that something blocking my 36963 port to open , but i see 22 is opened , so i want ask , can i host server on port 22 instead of 36963? Well, port 22 is used for SSH. If it's your home computer, you might want to close it (enables people to log into your computer remotely). If it's a remote server, you can't use it as port 22 would be in use when trying to start the server. Hmmm , it seems i cant port forward any port and dmz is not working , dd-wrt firewall is bugged or something and i cant get the original RT-N10 firewall :S Oh man, it's ASUS, isn't it? I have ASUS router too, and it's kinda weird to forward ports over there. But it's still possible, have you got Virtual Server function? Enable and configure it - and everything will work properly. And least it did so for me. Also, DMZ won't work, I don't know why. ASUS routers are a bit weird, I think. Virtual Server function? I have dd-wrt firmware idk where to find it here :S Can you make us a screen-shot of panel? I may be able to help you. Parallel_Man u very nice

You actually can try port range forwarding, at least some people use it instead of simple port forwarding. Then forward ports from 36963 to 36963, or try to forward a small amount of ports, for example from 36900 to 36999. Also if you're running server on Windows, you should make an exception in Windows Firewall.
