The most nervous error on CS2D is Auto-porting. when You choose a port on CS2D. and run the server on a VPS or CS2D dedicated. it's automaticilly removes the port you've choosed and choose another ugly port. I'm using iPv4 ... I must save the port everytime on the list of iPv4 forwading. that's really anoying function on CS2D.
I would know how to disable it on my VPS. Maybe the port is used. Try cs2d_dedicated /realport hmm. MikuAuh. as I said. when I add the auto-generated port. and write it on iPv4. and The server does not appears. This is what I think (Just a thought):
Maybe your host doesn't allow you to use any other ports and it automatically changes it back and it allows the default port and I think, only with that port you can open a server because it's port-forwarded and not the others. your using free vps , that mean it's give limited thing , so maybe they allow only 2 Port , or only 2 executable files , or you ram running out or something like ...
