it really is not much worse than the flu, its only really lethal to those with poor healthcare, poor immune system, elderly or young.

uh no, its a virus that typically only infects animals such as rodents, its just that this particular strain happened to mutate into something that can also infect humans, and as humans generally dont have the immune system to deal with this particular virus, we become more susceptible to it.

Basically, its a naturally born virus that has learnt to affect us naturally, and has a bigger affect on people who already have weakended immune systems or lungs (ie from asthma or smoking)

People who are reletlively healthy may be quite unwell for a few weeks, but if they seek proper treatment, are likely to recover fully.

Kids usually have a way more active immune system because they are less prepared for illnesses (as they have never had them before).

Talking about how deadly it is, Influenza has a CFR (case fatality rate) of 0.2% to 0.3%, for corona we haven't figured out the exact value, but first calculations guess that it's ~0.3% to 0.7%, so yes it is way deadlier

Thousands of people die from AIDS every day, but 3,000 dead from the coronovirus scare everyone, especially those who make money from it.

AIDS is easier to prevent. Just test more people and castrate those who have aids. Well... I guess it's a bit more complicated than that, but you get my drift. It's easier to just get the public to avoid spreading it. Most of aids cases are in Africa because of lack of education in undeveloped reasons.

COVID-2019 wouldn't be as bad if each patient with complications had the time and a bed in a hospital to cure the disease.

in australia, coronavirus wont be so bad, will only be lethal to the elderly like anyone else, though many people will still need to be hospitalized for breathing difficulties.

im not worried at all if i catch the virus, i will be given adiquate treatment.

And that's exactly the reason why you should be worried. If the virus spread more, you will not get a adequate treatment, because hospitals will be full. Even in Australia the situation can become that bad soon. I don't hope so, but you shouldn't under estimate it. It is not that dangerous, but it can have a way higher rate of mortality than now, as soon as the hospitals are full. Therefore we have to slow down the spread of the virus as much as we can.

Don't be foolish.

It seems even major news sources are getting the semantics wrong when talking about this.

• Coronavirus: any virus that's part of the subfamily Orthocoronavirinae, in the family Coronaviridae, order Nidovirales, and realm Riboviria, according to scientific virus classification. Basically it's a specific group of viruses, which includes the one that's behind this pandemic;
• COVID-19: Coronavirus disease 2019 - as the name implies, it's the disease that the virus causes, not the virus itself;
• SARS-CoV-2: the actual name of the virus we're all talking about this year. It stands for "Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2" and it's a specific strain of the SARS-CoV virus species, which was already studied back in 2003.

So, basically, SARS-CoV-2 is a coronavirus that's causing COVID-19 in people. Simple, huh? Apparently not simple enough for the media.

so they are adding additional securities to protect the economy, they even started handing out money to unemployed benefit earner gits to spend on shit to keep the economy running, fucking bullshit, howsabout us hardworkers that pay taxes, barely keep to their bills, and cant afford to repair their broken down car amid a crisis that may shut down their jobs at any point. fucking bullshit.

this is why hardworkers hate dolebludgers (people that get tax money to live, and dont try to find work)
