It's probaly some hardware problem of your computer, because the game run fine in every computer I played.

I don't know if this is a bug. I just played Stranded 2 this morning, I saved it, I pressed alt+tab to see Unreal Software for a while and when I went back to Stranded 2 the land became black! It should be a snow terrain.

there are about 1 mio threads about this problem. I can't fix it. it's caused by the engine or directx, I don't know.

Another fix would be to reset the terrain color manually. To do this type "dm" in the console (open with circumflex... the key above 'tab' and under 'escape'). Then click on "enter script" or something like that and type

terraintexture "generate", 1;
and execute that.

3. when i'm talking to the man on 3rd island about the 3 "How to"-s it doesn't allow to scroll.
4. sometimes the parrots are flying half of their body in the ground (i'm not mentioning the sharks making their turnarounds in the ground behind me lol)
5. when I give the 30 butterflies they stop generating on the WHOLE island, even from my gardens.
but anyway, this small glitches doesn't affect my gameplay.

im sorry i put on general not in bugs section but purple grass is annoying and laggs me if anyone knows how to fix this i will be very happy if not well i dont know fact:this is way harder to fix than black grass other rocks have pictures of egyptans its confusing

I've been hunting down a solution to this issue since I first discovered the game, and my hopes exploded in a fury of happy when I read this.

I immediately booted up to see if you were correct, but sadly this script didn't seem to work as-is. I entered it exactly as written, and upon running the script, the ground flickered to normal for a brief moment before returning to black. I tried it once more, just for shiggles, and this time there was no reaction at all.

its hard to fix i got it from purple to black by putting save on memory stick and transfering it this made it into a black but its still annoying!

Well, Stranded 2 isn't quite a finish game.It takes some hours to fix those bugs but i wish you luck!

probably not a bug but rather you doing something wrong.

take the seed into your hand and use the ground with 'E'. make sure there is enough space to actually plant it.
