old VPS server not showing in list

For some strange reason the server I am hosting on my linux server VPS is not showing up in the server list.

Server IP is: 111.67.21.53:36962

The server is shown here: http://www.cs2d.com/servers.php

I am able to directly connect to the server via IP, and it shows up in favorites (only in red, until i join it), just not in the public list.

I don't know why this issue is occurring, previous VPS's I have used in the past have all been listed on public serverlist. So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why it is not appearing?

Another thing to note is after I have joined it via IP is shows up in the public server-list and in favorites as an online active server, but after I restart cs2d it is gone again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ecstasy

If it shows up in cs2d.com/servers.php it has been added to the serverlist, you are probably just too far away from the server, your packets are getting overly shaped or your packets are being lost, since they are UDP.

Its not just me who cannot see it, it is the same for everyone.

Once again, thanks but I will wait for others suggestions.

EDIT

I have tried the checklist and tried a server eboot (VPS) still no success. And yes, it is hosted in my country (Australia), so that shouldn't be an issue.

I am contacting the provider and seeing if they might have an answer.

Aah, yes, you might have an incoming-firewall on the VPS, stopping server-information packets, this is more than likely as I had the exact same problem.

I'm hoping that is the case.

I'll report back once I get a response from my provider.

I appreciate your suggestions. (DC and Danny)

First of all, thanks for the grammatically correct post.

It's probably what Danny and DC said. Also, you could turn firewall completely off, but that is actually really dangerous and I wouldn't do that (maybe).
Also, change the serfer port to some random number, like 12345. Maybe your current port is blocked by the VPS provider.

VPS provider would not block ports, it's fucking insane, I say. The question is - do you run Windows? If so, then it's clear. If not - then it becomes a lit bit complicated, because firewall is turned off almost in every Linux-based OS by default.

your server is actually listed. at least at the moment. what user DannyDeth says can be true - even though it's VERY unlikely because you normally get a VPS which is in your own country and therefore reachable without problems.

you can also try to restart the server (the VPS, not just the cs2d server program).

read the checklist if you didn't do so already

What is VPS? Why need it? How to have it?

Virtual Private Server. You don't really need it, if you ask such questions. VPS can be for many things, including server hosting.

I wouldn't say so. Most of VPS or dedicated server customers are totally retarted (jk )and have no idea how to operate a server, or even what linux is. So at least some providers switched to have an activated firewall, and make other security related stuff like deactivating RootLogin via FTP (ok, should be deactivated by default anyway). Sometimes my server also drops from the serverlist, (no USGN add msg anymore) even if everything in the basic config is right (firewall settings, iptables, screen, and so on) In this case i have to restart my server. But the problem is a bit different then the OP is.
