I got a dedicated server running on linux but it seems some people cannot join, about 50% of people joining. Some players can join and play without problem but some players join, download files if its the first time and disconnect without reason. 1 person was able to contact me and said he got an error when joining 'ACCCESS_VIOLATION'

I dont have this problem myself so I cannot replicate it but the server log of everyone looks the same with no errors, clearing downloads for the client doenst fix it, reuploading the gfx and sfx folder doenst work either. Anyone encountered the same problem and got a fix for it? It looks like it is a client-based problem but so many players have it on my server but it doesnt affect everyone

If there is more info needed, please ask
joining my server and posting the console log might help me as well (if you get disconected of course)

Make sure that it's there and if not please put it there and restart the CS2D server. Let me know if that fixed the problem!

If that doesn't help you can try another map in order to see if it works better.

I changed the map to de_dust, for me no problem to join/play, dont if others can, ill have to wait for others to join then.

I see two suspicious things here:

• The map file is quite big (over 600kb)
• The tileset name is in upper case letters. In general it's more reliable to keep everything lower case. If the map was created on Windows and the cases of some letters don't match it's no problem because for Windows there is no difference but Unix based systems like Linux DO differentiate there and might fail to load the tileset.

Ok so i changed the tileset of the map to a copy of the the tileset with a lowercase name, I will post an update when I know if it works or not.

Update: I set the map to de_dust and it works perfectly, so it has to be the map, I will try to reduce the mapsize and see if that works better.
