If you get that thing and use the quicksave function very often, it won't be too frustrating and you can enjoy the horror atmosphere.

what to do
1. somewhere on the island (a little hidden) you'll find a crystal rock. mine it to get another crystal.
2. start the map new and try again
3. cheat (i think thats not cheating, because it's fair):
4. in the debugmenu (cheatmenu) you can execute a script to load the next map.
